  Community Involvement

Body Works: The vice president brought the students to visit the Body Works and the Cyle of Life exhibit in Miwaukee Public Museum. Students learned the details of the bone structure, muscle groups, tendons, organs, and the specific stages of life starting from fetus to death.

Field Trip to China Town: The current students went to China Town in Chicago for a wonderful field trip in April. They enjoyed eating in a fancy restaurant, received and observed an authentic Chinese reflexology by a doctor who is specialied in Traditional Chinese Medicine. They visited local stores and tasted Chinese culture in the U.S. This field trip strengthened students' understanding of Chinese wellness theories and practice.

Women's Night Out: Current students, Shea and Nicole, and the former graduate, Orlando, participated in the "Women's Night Out" sponsored by Happening Magazines. They demonstrated various chair massage techniques on the stage for hundreds of wonderful audiences. Their performance was a highlight for that wonderful evening.

Mock Interview: Students participated in the mock interview with Janet, owner of Citrine Professional Massage and Facial in Racine. We are very thankful to Janet's wisdom, experience, and concerns about the future of massage and facial areas.
